On September 8, the 25th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) opened grandly in Xiamen, Fujian, attracting delegations from over 120 countries and regions and 11 international organizations. At the event, GCL Technology showcased its “black technology” innovations—FBR granular silicon and large-size perovskite modules—drawing repeated attention and high praise from domestic and international investors.

As the guest province for the first time, Jiangsu selected several outstanding industrial representatives to exhibit. GCL’s FBR granular silicon and large-size perovskite modules led the Jiangsu Pavilion, highlighting the province’s green and low-carbon industrial achievements. These displays not only demonstrated China’s advanced technological capabilities in sustainable energy but also provided practical solutions and Chinese wisdom for global energy transition.

GCL Technology, a global leader in high-efficiency photovoltaic materials R&D and manufacturing, introduced its FBR granular silicon, a technology with unique proprietary advantages. The production process is highly green and low-carbon, with reduced energy consumption and emissions. Its carbon footprint from “cradle to gate” is only 41 kg CO₂e/kg, far below the internationally recognized Ecoinvent 3.9.1 factor for conventional ingot silicon (81 kg CO₂e/kg). This positions FBR granular silicon as a key enabler for carbon reduction and sustainable development across the global PV value chain.

Paired with granular silicon, the debut of large-size perovskite modules represents the forefront of photovoltaic technology, offering higher photovoltaic conversion efficiency, lower costs, and superior carbon footprint performance. GCL’s perovskite commercial modules have passed TÜV Rheinland’s triple IEC stability tests, and the Giga-scale perovskite production base launched in June marks a new milestone, reaffirming GCL’s leadership in the next global PV technology frontier.

This CIFIT edition hosted over 70 investment-themed events and 100+ roadshows. GCL Technology stated that it would leverage this platform to strengthen domestic and international exchanges, advance technological innovation, and accelerate industrial development, contributing its “GCL power” to the theme of “Investing in China, Investing in the Future.”
