FBR granular silicon

GCL Tech's commitment to research over the past decade has paid off with the successful development of FBR granular silicon, our breakthrough core product that fills the gap of the 100,000-ton granular silicon production capacity in the world.FBR granular silicon has obtained carbon footprint certification from China, France, and Germany, breaking the carbon footprint record previously held by Siemens method rod silicon and establishing itself as the new benchmark for carbon footprint in the international semiconductor materials industry.

Exquisite craftsmanship for the quality of products

Granular Silicon Product Quality Metrics:

  • Proportion of products with ≤0.5 ppbw (5 elements) total metal impurities remains stable at about 95%, with further room for improvement.
  • As of June 2025, over 75% of products achieved ≤0.3 ppbw (5 elements) total metal impurities.
  • Over 91% of products met ≤1 ppbw (18 elements) total metal impurities.
  • Proportion of products with turbidity ≤70 NTU continued to climb significantly, reaching 57.4% in Q2 2025.

Product Features

High quality, can reach electronic grade standards
The quality of FBR granular silicon products is excellent and has passed the verification of N-type monocrystals; it is spherical in shape, has good fluidity, better meets the size requirements of re-feeding, and the efficiency of re-feeding has been improved.

Purity can reach electronic grade to meet the needs of the N-type supply chain

Better meet the technical requirements of RCz and CCz monocrystalline silicon

FBR technology with independent intellectual property rights

Low cost, excellent carbon footprint performance
Based on the conservatively estimated carbon footprint value of 14.441 kg CO₂e/kg certified by the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) in 2025, the annual production capacity of 480,000 tons of granular silicon is projected to achieve the following compared to the traditional Siemens process: Expected annual power savings: 19.5 billion kWh; Expected annual reduction in CO₂ emissions: 10.48 million tons; Potential carbon reduction value contributed to China: over RMB 632 million.
