On July 17, the 2026 Securities Star ESG Forum & 4th ESG Benchmark Enterprise Awards Ceremony, organized by Securities Star in strategic partnership with China Securities Index Co., Ltd. (CSI), was held in Shanghai. GCL Technology was honored with the “ESG Compliance Benchmark Award for Global Expansion” for its systematic approach to overcoming international green trade barriers through its globally leading low-carbon footprint practices.
Jointly launched by Securities Star and CSI, the award has been held for four consecutive years since 2023 and has become one of the most credible ESG evaluation platforms in China’s capital market. This recognition reflects strong acknowledgment from capital market institutions and professional organizations of GCL Technology’s global development capabilities and ESG achievements.
Empowering Global Growth Through ESG Compliance and Building Full Value Chain Low-Carbon Competitiveness
As a globally leading zero-carbon energy high-tech materials R&D and intelligent manufacturing enterprise, GCL Technology has consistently integrated ESG principles into its corporate strategy, operations, and industrial development across the entire value chain. The company continues to establish a systematic and standardized ESG governance framework, strengthening the Board of Directors’ and management team’s strategic oversight, decision-making, and supervision of sustainable development and green low-carbon initiatives.
Aligned with the global transition toward green energy, GCL Technology focuses on two critical dimensions of carbon intensity—products and operations—to advance full value chain emissions reduction and low-carbon operational transformation. The company has continuously enhanced its intrinsic decarbonization capabilities through comprehensive efforts across its industrial ecosystem.
GCL Technology has established four climate strategies: low-carbon technological innovation, industrial ecosystem integration, digital intelligence empowerment, and global climate impact management. Based on these strategies, the company has developed a three-phase climate action roadmap from 2023 to 2050, covering green manufacturing, carbon asset management, supply chain decarbonization, and global standard alignment, driving energy structure optimization and climate resilience enhancement across all areas.
Supported by a clear strategic framework and implementation system, GCL Technology has built a comprehensive climate action model integrating short-, medium-, and long-term goals. The company has set phased targets to achieve operational carbon neutrality before 2040 and full value chain carbon neutrality before 2050. Its near-term climate targets have already been achieved ahead of schedule, demonstrating significant progress in its low-carbon transformation.
