GCL Technology Shines in Global Environmental Benchmarking: First CDP Entry Tops Rankings
At the start of the year, GCL Technology made a striking debut on the 2024 CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) Global Corporate Environmental Ratings. Out of approximately 25,000 participating companies worldwide, GCL ranked in the top tier of first-time entrants, earning:
-
B (Management Level) for Climate Change, and
-
B- (Management Level) for Water Security.
This milestone highlights GCL’s leadership in environmental governance and water resource management, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and its responsibility as a global green energy pioneer.
CDP, often regarded as the gold standard for corporate environmental transparency, evaluates companies across strategy, target-setting, risk management, and performance. In 2024, over 36,000 Chinese companies disclosed environmental data, representing a significant portion of global market capitalization.
GCL Technology’s achievements stem from its innovative low-carbon FBR polysilicon technology and the GCL Carbon Chain lifecycle carbon-tracking platform, which enable measurable carbon reductions across the solar value chain. In water management, GCL has implemented optimized production processes, closed-loop water recycling, and alternative water sourcing, significantly improving water use efficiency.
Looking ahead, GCL Technology will continue to accelerate technological innovation, deepen water and resource management, and advance sustainable practices across its global operations, fulfilling its mission of “focusing on green development while improving the human environment.”
