From One To Infinity | Investors Unveiled GCL Tech
GCL Tech has been renamed for more
than a year. During this time, the company has strengthened its technological
base and accelerated its pace in the field of granular silicon. In terms of
production capacity, the company's modular granular silicon base has rapidly
taken shape. The domestic silicon production capacity that has been established
and is under construction has reached 400,000 tons. On the product front, the
company's granular silicon technology is continually evolving, rapidly
enhancing product quality and leading the way in carbon emission reduction of
the industry.
On July 14th, the "100·Investors | Discovering GCL Tech" event, co-hosted by
GCL Tech and Cailian Press, took place at the Suzhou GCL Energy Center. Over
ten renowned investors, chief analysts, high-profile financial commentators,
and company executives engaged in a dialog and exchanged ideas on technological
innovation breakthroughs and the logic behind PV investments.
During the interactive session,
there was a lively exchange of perspectives, with Zhu Gongshan, Chairman of GCL
Group, Zhang Xiuwei, Assistant Vice President and Chief Brand Officer, GCL
Tech's Chief Scientist Jiang Limin, Vice President Amy Song, Assistant Vice
President Song Hao, and Assistant Vice President of the Silicon Materials
Division Xu Zhenyu among the leaders and experts present, addressing each of
the investors' concerns. From GCL Tech's strategic planning to the unique
advantages of FBR granular silicon, from the market's high recognition of the
product to the new ground of industrial advantages in the zero-carbon era,
investors proposed a series of hot topics, asked pointed questions, and
received reasoned and well-substantiated responses. Granular silicon emerged as
the most heatedly discussed keyword between both parties.
"Technology is a company's
core competitive advantage," stated Zhu Gongshan, Chairman of GCL Group.
"Upholding the principles of high quality, low cost, and low carbon
emission throughout the life cycle, GCL Tech has been committed to research
over the past decade and has successfully established granular silicon bases in
East, West, and North China. This has significantly advanced the
diversification of technology and fostered healthy competition in the PV
upstream material sector."
In the discussion, another major
futuristic product of GCL Tech, the perovskite PV module, was brought up.
Kunshan GCL Photoelectric Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of GCL Tech, is
currently the world's only tech company that develops and manufactures
commercial modules with a consistent single-junction photoelectric conversion
efficiency exceeding 16.02%. By the end of this year, this efficiency is
predicted to surpass 18%. Zhu Gongshan emphasized that achieving a conversion
efficiency of 18% for standard-size perovskite modules is "absolutely
unique" on a global scale. The next steps for GCL Tech include increasing
production capacity and reducing costs, as well as "nationalizing as
swiftly as possible" to maintain control over core technology and raw
materials.
Looking towards the future, GCL
Tech will continue to showcase its technological vitality. It will focus on the
meticulous development of granular silicon technology in eco-friendliness,
quality, intelligence, and cost reduction, and lead the silicon-based material
development with a green approach.
