On January 6, GCL-Poly (03800) was awarded the Hong Kong Connect Best Company Prize at the 5th Golden Hong Kong Stocks Annual Awards Ceremony held in Shenzhen.
The 5th Golden Hong Kong Stocks Annual Awards Ceremony is co-organized by Zhitongcaijing and Hithink RoyalFlush Information Network Co., Ltd., both of which are leading Hong Kong and U.S. stock information platforms in China, with full-journey road show support from Roadshowing, a professional finance and economics road show live broadcasting platform.
The Hong Kong Stock Connect Best Company Prize is designed to recognize Hong Kong Stock Connect listed companies boasting robust corporate governance structure, prominent industrial position and sound main business that can provide sustainable and stable value return for investors. At the event, GCL-Poly was awarded the Hong Kong Stock Connect Best Company Prize, reflecting the concern of market participants and investors about relevant industry, which represents not only great encouragement but also impetus for GCL-Poly. With a two-month strict appraisal process, the 5th Golden Hong Kong Stocks Annual Awards recorded more than 1,000 Hong Kong-listed companies that signed up for the ceremony, which covered traditional industries such as energy, finance, automobile and industrial manufacturing, as well as emerging industries leading the economic restructuring in China such as telecommunication, chip manufacturing, internet and healthcare & pharmaceuticals. With total market value of over HKD20 trillion, the participant companies rank top in Asia, accounting for more than 1/2 of the total market value of the entire Hong Kong stock market, over 90% of which are Hong Kong-listed companies.
In addition, more than 200 financial institutions such as banks, securities, insurance, custody and asset management institutions, and thousands of professional investors attended the event.
The Appraisal Expert Committee assigned scores according to factors such as performance growth of the company in the last year, industrial rank, corporate governance, business model, market influence and capital market performance, with consideration of corresponding public voting weight, thereby generating the final list of winners.
